Master Bryan

Bryan's Rule #1: Don't listen to mum....hard work does get you fed......
Yes, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you... my son does eat food other than his bread and 'tella and nuggets... Recently, after hours of Kung Fu Panda, he started using the kiddy chopsticks to eat the noodles with but alas it broke after months of being Master Bryan's chopsticks. He was relentless... he insisted on using the "big people"'s nippers as he fondly calls it. I explained to him that the 2 were different, and it would be best if he could use his spoon (yes, he didn't use a fork for it either) like before.... He had no part of it...Since reasoning with him didn't work, I told him "use la... see whether you get food in your mouth or not?" Within 5 minutes of figuring it out, from the left hand to the right.....he found his knack... and the proper way too! No criss-crossing too!

Spider Man

Spiderman! Spiderman!
My Spider senses are tingling....

Bryan is into Spiderman these days. This was taken before he found a mask to wear.. guess what his web is made out of? Derrick's army net blanket.

TO create the "swinging" effect, he tucks the other end into the drawer.... See?only he can think of it... Got to give him points for using his limited imagination hor?

Sadly, Not My MelonS

Big or not? I tried to weigh it but my scale just went round twice and no where else to spin. Took us a week to finish it. I put it next to the plastic containers so you can compare the size. I've got this friend who works in the local market and every weekend, he bring back lots of vege and fruits, so he'd sell them 1 whole bag of say green apples (about 10 in a bag) for only 2 dollars. This was the only watermelon he had, for 6 bucks. All the money from the sale is donate to my Parish. Bless him....

CAITLYN'S SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
After her first Reconciliation on the 26 June, the school held a Thanksgiving Mass for all the kids who received the Sacrament at 3pm that Sunday. It's a milestone for these Catholic kids. Their first confession wor. At this age, they know what sins are and most importantly, be sorry for them. Her penance? To recite the Hail Mary. Mine was to recite the Act Of Contrition. I think Father shook his head when he heard my confession. But honestly, it's really good for the soul. After that, really, like a huge boulder off my shoulders. You know me la, devil in disguise ma.......

You can tell that it's been a looooooooong time (4 years) since my last confession. THat time, I still went into the confessional and a priest will be in another, with a wooden wall and rattan mesh in between us. Now? Just 2 chairs: Priest's and mine. Face to face. No rote recitation. Just sit and confess away. I admit feeling very uncomfortable initially because it's like hello! He's like this bloke I eat and drink with and joke with and sing with leh.... suddenly he has to listen to my crap... Aiyo. Nah, it's here http://adelbrycaitderr.shutterfly.com/1185

Final Home Inspection

The weather was great. Gerry and Wendy helped Derrick and I go through the house with a fine-tooth comb. Quite a few minor issues were brought up, nothing major. Structurally, the house was sound, the finish was impeccable. So at the next appointment, hopefully, when all the nitty gritty problems have been recitified, we will collect our keys on the 21 July. After that, the painter, tiler, soakweller, drivewayer and all the other ayers will come in to finish up the house. When do we move in, you ask? Most probably at the end of Aug.... Darn... wait again....
