9 More Shifts In A Row To Go Before My Annual Leave!

I've not taken any annual leave in the past 2 and a half years and I'll be having at least 14 days, in a row, I might add, of annual leave soon! Images like those above come to mind....


BUT
in reality, I'll be doing more of the following during the 14 days....

And I thought It Was A Plant.....

Bryan was so excited on Sunday night, kept saying, VERY enthusiastically, I might add, "Oh I'm so excited, I'm going to to check on my creeper tomorrow at school!!!!!" So I thought, great, another plant he planted at Life Skills, which he will bring home, after a term, and I'll have to take over growing it.... Creeper? Gosh.... tendrils and putting up stakes come to mind....

 

Fast forward the next day, after school, and this, he lugs back...... is his Creeper..... on wheels.

Durian Puff .... Derrick Style

Goal - to be the first person in the household to bake durian puffs.... the stage is set. The picture is enough inspiration.....

He's got the durians, not the best ones, but as the saying goes, in Hokkien, "where there is no fish......" anyway.....

It's so wonderful, after a hard days' work, we unwind, eat great food & talk..... and boy did we! It is always fun catching up whenever we can. With 4 different people with 4 different work schedules, I'm glad we found a mutual free evening to get together!...... Girls, next venue: A place with even more eye candy?

12 Months Ago.....

A year ago, that t shirt fit Bryan. A year ago, the sleeves covered his arms till his wrists. A year ago you couldn't see his moobs. No, the t shirt didn't shrink. Bryan grew..... THAT much. We had to give away 99.99% of his t-shirts, long and short sleeved ones. The only one we kept was daddy's t-shirt which he was wearing, and the Size 14s I bought past couple of months. Size 14! And he's just 8 n 'arf!

Caitlyn's 'Dare To Lead' Project Presentation

Caitlyn's Primary Extension and Academic Challenge Second Term Project presentation. She made Term books for her class. It was a massive project. She is less nervous speaking in front of an audience now...... just like her mummy, the show pony.... 

Sunny Sunday

Nothing like home-made Curry laksa and home-made ngoh hiang for dinner at the end of a busy Sunday, my precious day-off. Have to give credit when credit is due.... it wasn't me who cooked the laksa......

Father's Day Dinner

Our first choice was Sizzler's but the queue was all the way to wazoo. So our back-up plan was Brooklands Tavern (McDonald's was going to be our last resort). We got a table pretty straightaway but the wait.... oh the wait.......

Minecraft Man!

There went my perfectly good box I needed at work. Bryan loves Minecraft. He'd draw, cut out zombies from cardboard, plastic, whatever, you  name it. When he saw this  box, he just ran and grabbed it, started cutting holes in it and wore it..... Funny thing was, he couldn't get that thing  off! It was hilarious taking that box off him. Oh that ensemble came with arm and shin guards too!

Starting my day with a dose of NCIS, a Maggi Laksa and a cuppa tea..... My 5th out of 6 consecutive 5am wake for work..... I am well and truly tired... Now will EJ hand over that damn chip already!
