24/12/11~ Breaking tradition a bit cos I had to work on Christmas day, so we had our annual X'mas dinner at lunch and opened some presents after that. I know, I know... it's all ABOUT me....

Mom had the honour of giving the presents out and Iesha was first.

CHRISTMAS EVE LUNCH 2011

Long overdue.... Christmas came and went. Day in, day out, busy like sai. Photos taken throughout the year and yet not posted here nor at Shutterfly. "Slack" is my middle name. 2011 has been a very very eventful, adventurous year for me. I could write a book. For those who have journeyed with me then, I sincerely thank you for being there for me. Many special friendships were forged through the year.

End of Another Year

Where the hell has the year gone? Honestly!

Alright, There's No Hiding! 2011 Is Here....

What a way to start the New Year..... First I slept early last night... 10.30pm to be precise, then got woken up by revelling cheer at midnight, then again at 1+am by dear Tina and then yet again at 4+am by dear Alice.... and then at 5+am when some A-hole who decided it was fun to squeeze balls and squeal wheels at I'm assuming at Wright Road or at Whitehorse and that woke me up for good. That was it... I just couldn't fall asleep no more. Damn it. My day off today and I was wide-eyed but definitely not bushy tailed. Finally, I gave up trying to fall asleep. At 6.30am, I woke up and here I am, watching American Football. I haven't stayed up to usher in the new year for quite a few years now. Weird, I know. For me it's just meaningless. I stay up late on other days past midnight, so the new year isn't so much more special than just another day in the calendar.

Aaaaanyway, I'm starting the day with Special Minister duty for the 9am Mass and then after that, marketing for a Steamboat lunch with some friends for dinner..... It's going to be another mini vocal jam session tonight too. It's been quite a while we last got together to sing. I'll see if I can post something after tonight. Stay tuned.

Awright 2011... what have you got in store for me? Remember, I ain't making no list. I'm tired of playing by the rules... this year, I'm just gonna throw caution to the wind and just have fun!!!!

The Morning After

How was my X'mas many people ask?
Never mind that I have an 8 straight working day....That provides me some getaway from the cacophony at home.
23/12: only 3 hours of sleep
24/12 night: 2.5 hour sleep at night after Midnight mass
25/12 night: Woken up numerous times by howling winds

If anyone asked me what I'd like to have for X'mas, I'd say "Sleep!" but did hubby pick up on that? Nooooooooooooo!He got me the most romantic present... EVER! It's plastic, it's hard and it's long..... Wanna hazard a guess? I'm offering $100 to the one who guesses correctly.
