2008 Wishes

Here's wishing you all, my friends, a Happy Prosperous New year. Just finished a 3 hr work shift, will be back tomorrow, on New Year's Day, for a 10hr night duty. Will write more then. See you all next year!

My Budding Artist

Eversince Caitlyn learnt how to pick up a painting brush, she has shown her ability to draw and paint even abstracts (yes, abstracts, at that tender age). I used to blu-tac her art work on the walls in Singapore but I guess I threw them away before we packed up and moved here. I shouldn't have. This peacock is her latest...Actually this one is Velvet art, an Xmas pressie her Lai Yee gave her. It's nothing difficult, to her it's "easy peasy" but she only choose just 4 or 5 colours and managed to create this piece of art. I'll try to korek more for her art work and put it up... but that means I would have to go into the shed... aiyo.. at 44deg heat, that Colorbond shed and well be an oven! Hey! there's a poorman's sauna at the back of my house!.. Man, now I know how the turkey feels....

Finally!

Caitlyn finally learnt how to blow up bubble gum..... despite having a wobbly tooth at the front. Bryan finds it amazing and keeps wanting to pop it... So Caitlyn has had gum in hair, on face, on fingers.. THis is her with make up on... hiau or not?

Jackpot!!!

Took my aunts to Burswood Casino today..... Lucky day for her!
Started the adventure with a 15min hike, desperately searching for the main entrance under the scorching sun...
Finally found it...
Then once inside I was overwhelmed with the rings and dings and the whiffs of clashes of sweat, perfume and BO. It was amazing. A lot of old people there!
My aunty ah... really... all charged up and raring to go went hunting for the 2cents machine.... Then I found one and got my cousin to fetch her... I choped the machine and fed it $5.00 and made my aunt sit and play... within mins, she won $140! Not bad for a first timer!
Steady losses followed till it reached $130 and she claimed her winnings. Not bad for a half hour's worth of fun! I bet a mediocre street walker can't even earn that much in that span of time!
Pleased as punch, we went to the neighbourhood makan place and bought roast duck, roast pork and charsiew for dinner .... all courtesy of Burswood Casino.
I wonder if we can go again tomorrow....
