Happy New Year, One and All!

We wish you all, family and friends, a great and wonderful year ahead, filled with laughter, great friendships, lots of mouth watering food, lots of love and a fulfilling work year.
I have decided, again this year, not to make any New Year's Resolution.... and THAT'S my new year's resolution....

Last Day Of 2013

My prayer to you all, far and near....

This year has been a roller-coaster year for the family and me. Despite the ups and downs, we persevered and survived unscathed. In a weird but wonderful way, my prayers have been answered and I'm sure there is a reason why my Maker has steered us to this unexpected direction.
Lots of changes from next year onwards: Caitlyn goes to high school, Bryan will be a "senior" in his primary school and best of all we'll be going on our well-deserved holidays!
Next year will be my year to shine. Watch out world!

Christmas Eve Dinner at Yuki Japanese Restaurant

Behaving nicely for picture taking before the food arrives...
That is a lot of food for just the one person... and this is just half of my meal!

Kids ate the other half of my meal while waiting for theirs...

Our family favourite.....

Either my kids are growing up too quickly or mom is shrinking...

We all decided not to cook for Christmas Eve dinner. Firstly, we didn't want leftovers, secondly, we wanted to finish up whatever food there was in the fridge before we went away.
We all love Japanese food and thought we'd rather have that instead of the usual turkey and loads of other meats for dinner.
We'll do the whole shebang in 2014...in the mean time, back to packing!

O Yummy Christmas Tree, O Yummy Christmas Tree.....

I honestly did not have the heart to start eating it. It was just too beautiful! I mean, LOOK!

A chocolate Santa treat

Thank you Karen (Debeljakovic) and your kids for putting together this lovely Christmas tree for us... As soon as the photos were taken, Bryan attacked the tree and ate the trimmings with gusto.
He loved the lollies and chocolates, mum loved the biscuits, Caitlyn  loved the sweets and I just loved it all.
