Derrick's 48 years and 13 months' Birthday

I'd be lying if I said I made this cake.
Not only do I NOT know how to bake, I didn't even know WHAT cake to order for dear hubby. With T minus 4, I pleaded with Philina to help me come up with a "very simple, just a cake with the number 49 can already" cake. She turned up, with this.
Words failed me. I've never seen non-dim sum look so real! Heck even the dim sums from the supermarket DON'T look half like what Phil's made!
Oh by the way, you see the plate holding the dim sum? Yeah, you can eat that too.... if you have the heart to.
We've carefully lifted the top piece and it's now kept for display!

13 March 2015 ~ Blessed Birthday, Dear Hubby!

Dearest Hubby,
May the good Lord continue to protect & bless you.
I've asked myself many times what you'd like to have for this birthday and then quickly came to a realisation that even if I DID know what to buy for you, I'd have no down time to go shopping.
So, despite my having such a hectic work week with no time to go gift shopping, my gift to you is still priceless ..... a weekend of no nagging at you! Do you like it?
P/S A lot of thought have been put into this gift and knowing me, it will be hard present to give .... anyway, enjoy the present. Sorry I'll be at work on Saturday AND Sunday, so I won't be there to see you enjoy your present.
With love,
Your very thoughtful wife

Little Fishies Making Big Waves!

Bryan loves the water. He's a water monkey. He can spend hours in and on it. So what happens when the other kids have gotten out of the pool? Less man, more share! Thanks, Phil and Richard for having the kids over.

1 March 2015 ~ CNY Celebration at The Woodford's

Thank you Anne & Gary for opening your home to us, for a lovely CNY gathering. The food was delicious, the company was warm and the music was just the perfect way to end the night.
May the Good lord, in this 2015 Year of the Goat bring you all fresh and blooming business, growing wealth and plenty of love.
There was so much time and effort put in to the decoration and the layout. It was just brilliant what they have put together.
Before we all dug in, the hosts and Matt, gave wonderful speeches and we all dug in after saying our Prayer before Meals.

 The kids

Look who joined us! Father Anibal!

It started with Gary and Peter.....

I took over the gendang while Gary and Peter warmed up with a song....

Then Kumar came and took his gendang back and I was ordered back to the piano.

Then Darryl joined in with more percussions

Then Matt and Richard joined in and completed the 6-Men-and-1-woman band!

It was just like years ago when we got together for impromptu jam sessions. No music books, no music sheets, just guitar intro or a chord and away we went. We made music last night and it was fun!

CNY Gathering At Helen and Andrew's

22 Feb 2015 ~ Every year, Helen and Andrew open their home to usher in the Lunar New Year and share it with us, friends and family. It's really heart warming to see friends from many diverse cultures and backgrounds, come together in our traditional costume, to celebrate the Lunar New Year with us.
Helen and Andrew, thank you for your warm hospitality. Jaycee and Jasper entertained the kids as well which was really great.
May the good Lord continue to bless your family with good health, prosperity and love this year of the Goat.
HUAT AH!!!!!!!
Part of St. Emilie Choir, all decked up.

Catherine getting the Yue Sang ready. There were so many people that we had 2 plates of Yue Sang!

While the women were slaving away getting everything ready, the men were chin wagging outside, while feeding the mozzies.

The dessert. Look at the amount of scrumptious delights!
