Term 2 starts!

School started yesterday and I spent the glorious... what... 5.5 hrs gardening and cooking. I have been neglecting my garden for many months now. I tried a mandarin orange from the garden... sweeeeeeet.. but still have a week or 2 to go. It was relaxing not having the kids at home for that few hours. I feel guilty saying that now that I think of it. Anyway, tomorrow is another school day for them but I have a dear friend coming over to visit. Don't know how I am going to keep awake. I'm on a 10hr shift now....

Durian Head

Suprisingly Bryan enjoyed his haircut today. Of course, towards the end, he got kinda freaked out cos hair was getting into his eyes, his nose and of course it started to hurt his nether areas..... After his shower, he kept touching his crew cut. School starts Term 2 tomorrow so I am stoked. Plans to go shopping has to be put on hold cos the pest exterminator will be coming tomorro at 10am for our annual pest control. After that.. SHOPPING!

My Camera Died

My Canon Power Shot died yesterday... on ANZAC day... and we went out to get a better one today! If I could just take a photo of it I would but I haven't even opened the box yet plus it's hard to shoot itself....Will fiddle it later... just started working now, calls a-pouring in.

Not peek-a-boo

I wanted to catch Bryan "in the act" but he saw me first before I managed to click. You should have seen his face.. like a member of a Mariachi Band... Nutella all over the face.

Cold and Miserable

It's hardly May and already the days are cold... The nights! Oh the nights! Everynight I am like kuih 9 lapis in bed. I think the cold also screwing up my dream also. Last night, I dreamt I was enrolled into Ave Maria Convent School! Aiyo..... How can man.. firstly, why on earth did I dream of that school... secondly.. Me? and School? Yau Mou kau chor ah... I remember begging my mom, in my dream that I promise to study hard and not take me out of Main Convent. I hope this isn't another one of my "prophetic" dreams.. which I do get them once in a while. Damn the "gift". If only I dream of winning Lotto numbers instead.

Marlin and Robin

Caitlyn named the fishies Marlin and Robin.. She has a knack of naming weird names to little critters.. these 2 fish should consider themselves lucky.....Caitlyn named a toy frog "Chipping".. don't know where THAT came from.

This is what I play with during my off calls. I practice Sunday Mass music on this ol' faithful. All it needs is a personal amp and I'm set to busk.

Raining and Pouring...

It's been raining for 2 days straight and the sun's gone into hiding. My poor clothes have not seen sun for the past day cos they have been under the patio.. like THAT! miserable.. no sun bleached smell... I miss that!

When the Cat Is Away...

This is what happens when my back is turned. I was cooking and the kids just just made a mess of the hall. Yes, both of them can create a mess equivalent to Hurricane CaitBry's wrath. It's the school holidays and the kids are driving me up the wall!!!!! It's started to rain today, so the kids will be home the whole day and the sheer thought of it is like "AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!". I took then for a mini Sci-Tech expo at the nearby shopping complex but too many kids so Caitlyn couldn't have much fun and Bryan was just all over the place. After that, the whole shopping experience was exhausting.

All Under the Weather

Poor Bryan's down with a chest & ear infection. I've got a sore & inflammed throat. Both of us are on a course of antibiotics. Caitlyn's still having that occasional cough and Derrick's hay fever isn't letting up. So you can see, our household is a cacophony of sneezes & coughs, coupled with a chorus of nose-blowing & rattly chests.

Raining Balls

See? Balls in the garden.. AGAIN! 2 new ones and 1 at the back of the shed... too far to take photo.One day ah, I'll have a garage sale and these balls will be on sale..

Oranges and Lemons

Although I have neglected my plants of late, they continue to surprise me. This mandarin orange tree is shorter than Bryan and look at it... the oranges are turning yellow and then orange. So far too early to tell if they'll turn out to be little bombs...

Orange tree..but still taking its time to yellow. Another tree I have tried to distance myself from cos if not, I'll have difficulty letting go when I sell the house. And my Ong Lais.. which I affectionately named them Kajagoogoo... Spikey hair and all.. circa 80's...

Move over, Derek Zoolander

Bryan insisted on saying "shoe" instead of "cheese". See la. But then... like model hor... he sure needs a haircut also man...

Fun Fair

The kids had fun at the St. Emilie's Pri's P&F family fun fair after Morning Mass. Caitlyn loved the butterfly face paint.. See la.. Hiau ka puay see... can pose some more. Bryan leh.. no need to ask... Red back spider hands down. Here he is, being a bikie.. bought this for him since Xmas and he refused to sit on it... I'll let him warm the seat up before I plug it in the TV for him. As soon as they came home, I quickly took the photos and send them for their shower to wash the sand pit out of their hair... there went $2 down the drain...

My son, the "artist"

Bryan went through Caitlyn's makeup kit and started to put them on his face! I mean... LOOK AT HIM! I'll see if I can get a close-up shot... and just in case you were wondering... yes, that's body glitter MIXED with eye shadow and lipstick ALL OVER his face... Caitlyn has more gadgets in her makeup kit than I do...

Long time no see leh...

I have been MIA for the last few days.... have been busy... firstly, I tuang work on Tuesday... had a bit of congested sinuses, so have not been working for almost a week already.. but it was good, I caught up with plenty of sleep which was what I needed. I think I am really, getting old.. that Easter week work really took its toll on my poor heart. But I went to see my GP anyway and he put me on 2 courses of Rulide... so I guess I AM sick...

House buyer's finance didn't materialise, so they have asked for another 20 days extension.. but we aren't sitting and waiting anymore.. we wasted 30days doing just that.. We have contrated another agent to market our home. Hopefully, fingers, toes and legs crossed, we get this house out of the door... ??.... before June.. or before the next damn interest raise.
