Yes, he made them by himself. Actually, he made the Creeper from Minecraft at School. It's complete with wheels and all. The second picture, he made his Steve armour out of cardboard boxes and his pick axe out of Mega Blocks. Those who know what Minecraft is will know the relationship between the 2.
Trivia: He couldn't take his armour off... he got stuck after everytime he put it on!
